3 Day Desert Tour from Fes to Fes
📅 Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Merzouga Desert
You start your journey from Fes early in the morning with your private driver.
The first stop is Ifrane, a clean mountain town known for its European-style architecture and cool climate. It is often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.”
You continue through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may see wild Barbary macaque monkeys in their natural habitat.
The road then leads to Midelt for a lunch break, surrounded by mountain landscapes between the Middle and High Atlas ranges.
In the afternoon, you descend into the Ziz Valley, a long oasis filled with palm groves and dramatic canyon views.
By late afternoon, you arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.
You begin a camel ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi, enjoying a peaceful sunset before reaching your desert camp. In the evening, you enjoy dinner, traditional music, and a night under the stars.

📅 Day 2: Merzouga → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes.
After breakfast, you leave the desert and travel towards the Atlas Mountains.
You pass through small Berber villages and stop at the impressive Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon with high rock walls and a river running through it.
Then you continue to Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations, green oases, and winding mountain roads.
This region is often called the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs” due to its historic fortresses.
Overnight in Dades Valley
📅 Day 3: Dades → Ouarzazate → Atlas Mountains → Fes
After breakfast, you begin your return journey.
You pass through Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa” due to its famous film studios.
You may also see traditional kasbahs and desert landscapes along the way.
The road then takes you through the High Atlas Mountains, with scenic stops for photos and panoramic views.
You continue back through the Middle Atlas region and arrive in Fes in the evening.
End of the tour.
